These crowns just make me think of Elizabethan times – in a good way.
While we all know that Dior is known for the glitz, glamour and (often strangely) inspired pieces sometimes I want to cry at the thought of carrying one of their dresses or skirts into the real world and making it a much brighter place…
Could you imagine this skirt with a cropped tuxedo jacket… love.
I am at a loss with this collection – one the one hand, what a beautiful couture collection – flowing gowns made by hand with precision and care – on the other hand – orange tans on couture models make me want to puke.
not my classiest moment as a blogger but there is nothing classy about what has been done to these models faces and bodies.
While I have never been one to turn down a good sailor inspired collection – I am struggling with the formless maxi-dresses Emilio Pucci is including in the current resort collection. Normally bursting with structure, colour and bright prints – this collection is touching on the more easy to wear items that many women are looking for day-to-day.
But is it making you burst with excitement? Me neither…
the collections i have been posting so far have been the 2010 resort collections only.
i will be going through the latest collections by type rather than designer this year – couture is up next, then possibly swimwear or ready to wear.
sorry if there has been any confusion guys!
also in the next few weeks i will be creating a few new pages that you will be able to access from alongside the home tab. these pages will include my shopping list including must have items and accessories as well as my personal favourite items from each season.
suprisingly, the two collections from marc jacobs – marc by marc jacobs and marc jacobs – were a bit of a disappointment this time round. i have lumped both collections together with the few outfits i like from each.
marc by marc jacobs
such a disjointed collection – nothing blends with anything, yet somehow it all works together. just like the finale dress – so many different elements – styles, fabrics – shouldnt work. but this makes me want to get married in a suit jacket.
